PIA-PR gathers and represents research-based multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with operations on the island. There are 11 corporations with 12 manufacturing sites and 11 commercial entities.

The Pharmaceutical Industry Association members feel proud of their role as a very important part of the Puerto Rican community and of the many initiatives undertaken, individually and collectively, to improve the quality of life in our country.
Our members are pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies organized in manufacturing operations and commercial entities in Puerto Rico, each represented by its respective General Manager.
Associate Members
In 1997, PIA-PR incorporated the Associate Membership concept and invited a select group of pharmaceutical industry suppliers, vendors, consultants and professionals participate to forge a mutually beneficial long-term alliance.

“Conectados por los Pacientes” an effort by the Patient-Centered Committee of the Puerto Rico Pharmaceutical Industry Association (PIA), seeks to strengthen collaboration with leaders of patient organizations, foster capacity building, and provide educational workshops through expert resources and the sharing of experiences.
